We've Seen It, Huck is much smarter than he looks. It's not easy to stage your own murder, or run away on a floating pile of logs, or act out a part of a girl to lie to a town, but he's done it. Huck has proven to be very resourceful, and I don't think a 13 year old in this day would be willing or able to do any of those things. True, the book is fiction, but still-- one cannot say things are not changing. Perhaps it's due to the facility it is to accomplish difficult tasks now and the demand to get things quick. One thing's for sure, I am definitely not as brave or quick on my feet as Huck is. What do you all think, isn't Huck the
Einstein of this book, considering his lack of "education"?
It's true that Huck is different from the kids of this century, and that's most likely because he had to survive on his own for his whole life. The kids now don't get in that kind of situation and are also raised by their parents, unlike Huck. Ad not all kids back then where like Huck ether.
