Survival mode
Huck and Jim have to really be knowledgeable about surviving in the wilderness alone. They actually have really great survival skills because they can stay calm during life or death situations. When something goes wrong like when Jim got bit by the rattle snake he was calm and knew what to do the entire time, he knew his leg would swell up and that Huck needed to suck the venom out off his foot/leg.

Many people now in modern time with all of our technology based knowledge and dependency could not do the same things as Jim and Huck solely based on the fact that they have been raised around the wilderness environment. While we now in modern time we are not raised the same way since we have a technology based world.

ReplyDeleteI agree with SparkleFlower. Most of us teenagers in modern days can't go 20 minutes without using our phone. Think about if we had to survive in the woods alone. I can honestly say Huck would run circles around me when it comes to survive. I greatly respect people even in the modern times like Jim and Huck that can live solely on a stick and a fishing line
ReplyDeletein modern days today, they still use that tactical survival skill by cutting the wound and sucking the venom out.
